Paul started conducting at College, helping with various chamber ensembles, he also took wind and brass sectionals for The University of London Orchestra and the University of Exeter Orchestra.
Paul started Wind Band conducting with various bands at Berkshire Maestros, Co Conducting the Music Centre Concert band and Training Band
In 2008 Paul started conducting South Berks Concert Band, a community based band based in Mortimer. The band gives a mixture of formal concerts as well as bandstand performances
Paul took over conducting at Trinity Concert Band in September 2012,the band is based in the Lower Earley area near Reading. Like South Berks, Trinity gives a mix of formal and informal concerts. Both bands were successful in December gaining platinum awards at the National Concert Band Festival regionals in London. This led to an invitation allowing both to participate in the forthcoming NCBF finals at the Royal Northern College of Music in April.
